Welcome to Balvicar Stores. Centrally situated on Seil Island in the village of Balvicar, the shop and post office is run by Alistair and Jean McFarlane. Balvicar Stores is open from 8.30am to 7.30 pm every weekday and 9.00am until 7.30pm on Saturday. On Sunday the shop opens from 9.30am to 2.00pm.

The shop carries a wide range of groceries and household requisites, in addition to catering for the needs of the holidaymaker with items such as fishing tackle for sale and golf clubs for hire. There is a well stocked off-licence with regular special offers on wines and beers.

The newsagency carries the usual range of national and local papers, and if you are coming on holiday you can order your papers and magazines in advance via this website.

Fresh bread baked in store is available every day, and there is a wide range of goods available in the frozen and chilled cabinets, including delicious local beef and lamb.

Other services include Calor and Camping Gaz for yachtsmen or motor caravanners, bedding plants in the Spring and much more.
